A video for Rosario Livatino

Sicily is a land that leaves you breathless. Scenarios of unusual beauty, in which the wildest aspects coexist with the more domestic ones, suffused with calm sweetness, open to the eyes of its visitors, among bright colors and intense perfumes that permeate the air: almond and orange trees, jasmine and lemons …

Rosario Livatino was born here, in this land of striking contrasts and bewitching beauty. From an early age, he feels the call of justice. And he has no doubt: when he grows up, he will be the judge.

But how difficult it is to be in this land …

On 21 September 1990, at the age of 38, he was killed by the Agrigento mafia on the road he traveled every day to go to work at the court.

They killed him without knowing that the grain of wheat that fell to the ground produces much fruit.

He was recognized as a “martyr of the faith” by Pope Francis and raised to the glory of the altars as Blessed on May 9, 2021.

It is written: “Those who lead many to righteousness will shine like stars forever” (Dan 12: 3).

Dear friends, I wanted to dedicate this video to him, for his liturgical feast which falls on October 29th.

My book “Rosario Livatino – Justice Requires Love” is available on Amazon.
